Gruden wants a bell cow RB. He will try and find two. One in FA and one in the draft or an UDFA. A vet and a young guy who can become the vet.

No RB on this roster has proven he can carry the load for a full season. And that is the requirement for Gruden.

I know Lynch had a lot of success in seattle. And he had a decent season here. But is he good for 300+ carries?

What makes you think Gruden wants a bell cow? He’s always been a running back by committee type of coach. His first stint with the raiders he use Wheatley and for a change of pace he would bring in Charlie Garner or Napoleon Kaufman. When he needed an inch he would call on Zach Crocket . So, there’s that.
