Raiders need young running back even if Marshawn Lynch is back

INDIANAPOLIS __ While nothing is official, it appears the Oakland Raiders are bringing back Marshawn Lynch for the 2018 season. That was the strong indication by both coach Jon Gruden and general manager Reggie McKenzie. Still, that doesn’t mean they are set at the position.     If they can get Sony in the 3rd that would be the steal of the draft

    Gruden always has a backup plan.

    Its almost guaranteed he drafts and/or signs an UDFA. That along with signing a FA veteran RB will provide even more depth. Remember we also have Hood, from last years draft class.

    I would like to see Gore here as said backup plan, but Gore will likely want to prove he can still carry the load and I don’t think he would be happy as a backup. I don’t think Lynch would approve of the backup role either.
