Raiders No. 1 wide receiver Amari Cooper will be paid $7.2 million next season. They have six weeks or so to decide whether to pick up his fifth-year option, which would obligate them to pay Cooper slightly more than $13.9 million in 2019. If they want to keep Cooper beyond his fifth season, the cost

How can you even compare cooper to DHB. He broke the 1,000 yard barrier since randy moss so because he had one down year on one foot cut him?

One down year? More like 1 great game. I know he has a few good games here an there but for having as much hype as he does , he should not have 1 drop that hits both hands with both feet on the ground. He’ll have 4 per game! #1 WR? Trade him now. See if we could get a 1st rounder for him. But not to SF, NEP, DEN,LAC or KC.

I have given RM credit for the way he has handled the cap situation.

Maybe that praise was given a little to early.

Teams like the Eagles figure out how to win a SB with a young QB not breaking the back under his rookie contract.

I guess RM missed that class. Because with his coaches we had one good season. And when our QB got hurt…..

This is turning into a joke. A bad one.

What is… the going rate for a receiver who can’t hold the ball? I wonder!

Put it in his contract you drop the ball it costs you money see if that solves the problem

    Steve / Bill

Can you use another picture of Cooper? The one you are showing with the Eagles is Cooper trying to make a tackle on an interception

Cooper is a humble star, worthy of extending every option to keep him a Raider.
Nobody walks on water, but Cooper is a great teammate, always making the team a better team overall.
You always have to consider where he was on the field, because if you ignored him, you would give up a touchdown. I would consider him a foundation player, and you need to do your every best to kept these kind of players around.

Tru’… Bring in Jordy & U have a complete offense that can run any set with Carrier, the WR & RB position.

Honestly I’d pick up the option. Sammy Watkins just got 16 million for 600 yards. 13.9 million is a bargain. Then we can see if he can really play. I do think this year was just a down year for the team. Pick the option play it out I don’t think we’d get much more than a third. Jarvis Landry is a better reviver at this point but with less potential.

The Raiders don’t always use high draft picks on wide receivers, but when we have over the past dozen years or more, they can’t catch.

All the negative comments on Cooper will be quashed after this year(2018-2019). Healthy and lighting it up. Mark my words.
