Reminds me of the MJD signing a few yrs back. What a worthless pile of shyte he was, huh? Martin is a nothing signing…..probably doesn’t even make the team.

Ugh! My gosh this has been depressing. Martin likely won’t produce what Lynch did. Nelson is a nice signing but cutting Crab leaves them no better off at the WR spot than they were before the signing. Can we remotely trust RM to make competent draft picks? I know I don’t. He hasn’t earned that trust IMO, based on his track record.
I’m gonna let FA play out, but at the moment I don’t see us any better than an 8-8 team next year

RM SUCKS in the draft at the top end. I love the Nelson signing because he doesn’t drop the ball and he’s a consummate professional, unlike Crabtree, on both counts.

What I don’t understand is why wasn’t Crabtree traded?! With the ridiculous contracts WR’s have been getting ran shlukd have netted at LEAST a 6th round pick….maybe even a 5th or better. Raiders mgmt are idiots!

I don’t see this as a stern anything.

    Martin has been pretty unproductive.

I trust Gruden, but this has the potential to blow up in his face. I hope it works out, but I am very skeptical on this one.

The only thing FOR Martin and any RB in our system is that we have a road-grading o-line right now. If they run power, up the middle, run plays they can have just about anyone back there and gain yards. What I love about Lynch is that he is a legit tackle-breaker. He has insanely good balance and lower-leg power. I just dont see Mertin beating him out because if that…..

Although I’d day that Washington is worthless and id rather have Martin than him..

Martin has two seasons of 1,400 yards rushing or more. That’s not something you see often in the NFL. Granted, his last one was in 2015, but it shows that his first such season wasn’t a fluke and he is capable of big things when healthy and in the right offense. Jon Gruden has a way of getting the best out of his offensive players.

I highly doubt this is any type of warning or threat to Lynch. They are taking a flyer on Martin at best. He needs to prove himself again before he is a threat to anybody.
