After a decorated college career at Texas A&M, receiver Christian Kirk blew up the NFL combine. He is now expected be a taken in the top 25-40 picks.

Kirk would certainly fit the Oakland Raiders. He would be a terrific slot receiver and returner for Oakland. If he were available at No. 41, he’d be a perfect fit for Oakland or even as a trade down or trade up late into in the first round.

It would be fitting in Kirk ended up wearing the Silver and Black. He was adopted into the Raider Nation at an early age It would also be a cool thing for this website. Of course, RaidersSnakepit.com is partnered with the XOXO Stabler Foundation, which carries the legacy of Raiders’ Hall of Fame quarterback Ken “Snake’ Stabler. Snake’s daughter, Kendra, runs the foundation and a part of our site.

Kendra is also part of Team Kirk. Kendra and her family have been close friends of Kirk family for more than eight years. Kirk’s father, Evan, coached Kendra’s son, Justin, in the fifth grade in Pop Warner in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The family’s have been tight ever since. In the years before his death in 2015, Ken Stabler got to know the Kirk family. The family attended Snake’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in 2016 to celebrate with the Stabler family. Christian was unable to attend because the Aggies were in all camp.

He did become close to Snake as well. Stabler was there for Kirk when he was deciding on what school to go to. Kendra said Stabler knew when he watched Kirk play in high school he would become an NFL player.

Now, that Kirk is on the cusp of making Snake’s prediction become true, wouldn’t it be wild if he was drafted by the same team Stabler was drafted by?

We know there are some folks in Arizona hoping for that outcome.

Disagree about trading back into the 2nd round for a WR. You don’t need a stable of awesome WR’s to win a championship. The Patriots have proven this over and over. On top of that our defense needs a ton if instant-impact talent. Trading down would push us down away from that talent.
First 3 rounds need to be the best defenders on the board….period.

Interesting thoughts on Kirk. I am not as high on him as many others. I would love to see us get DJ Chark LSU if he gets to the second round.

No, they don’t have to be defenders.

My hope is M. Fitzpatrick, if he is there, he is the pick.

On the other hand, if MF is gone and Q. Nelson falls to us, no way should we pass on him.

We need help everywhere, maybe not QB.

Whoever Gruden has highest ranked and wants, that’s who you take.

However, he would be there in the 2nd round when Raiders pick
