THIS IS A STEVE CORKRAN POST The parting of ways with kicker Sebastian Janikowski and long-snapper Jon Condo earlier this offseason made it official. The Raiders now are entirely the making of owner Mark Davis and Reggie McKenzie, from deconstruction to reconstruction. Janikowski and Condo were the last remaining players from the 2012 Raiders roster

    The more things change, the more they stay the same – and yet I’ll be excited and ready to go again when the season starts, even more than I am now during the off-season and awaiting the draft. A strange mistress football is, but the proof is in the results regarding the product they keep selling us.

    I’m hoping the gruden hiring is the beginning if the end for McKenzie being allowed in the war room for drafts. I might let him have rounds 6 and 7, but he’s blowing too many important high-end picks year after year.
