The Los Angeles Rams won the NFC West last season before their season ended in abrupt fashion with a playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons. They wasted little time finding ways to get even better than the team that finished 11-5 and had the look of a serious Super Bowl contender. Rather than take the
“Regardless, the Raiders need to add more impact players”
EXACTLY! Aside from Irvin and Mack, the entire defensive line is void of true impact players. Ellis, Vanderdoes, Mario Edwards Jr, etc. are not game-changers. They can’t crush a pocket or get after the QB. Ellis has .5 sacks in 60+ games, for example.
McKenzie is too damn conservative to make trades for impact players. Oh, but he’s kept the salary cap intact….. YAY!!
I said this after the first days of FA. I see “bigger” moves next offseason.
There has been plenty of changeover this offseason.
Gruden wants to see what type of production he is going to get from players. That will go a long way in deciding how much more change is needed next year.
I still say its time to get Bowman re-signed. I don’t think RM realizes how valuable he was for the D last season.
Just like with Carr in the second round, RM got damn lucky getting Bowman.
Bowman has said he wants to stay and RM has said he wants him back. Just do the damn deal so we have a true MLB for installing another new scheme.
The Rams have the high priced player still on rookie contracts. They have the splash money. We have to pay our franchise QB and our Defensive player of the year, not to mention Coop when his mega contract comes up. Wait till the rams have to pay up. We missed our window when our guys were on thier rookie contracts.
Last year was a great window. They didn’t sign anyone other than Patterson and Lynch. No completion in camp. The team got worse as a result. Whose decision was it to let Musgrave walk. Ultimately the GM needs to sign off. This is all on Reggie and the reason I did not renew my season tickets this year.
Like a poster above, the Rams still have their QB on his original contract. Wait until Goff gets a new contract. Money becomes tight
