For the Raiders to secure the services of Michigan defensive tackle Maurice Hurst, they’re going to have to use the No. 10 pick on him or, more likely, hope against hope that Hurst lasts into the second round. Hence, it’s not a surprise that Hurst deleted an Instagram post that showed a picture of him

More likely they trade back in the first and draft Hurst in the teens no?

Based upon what NFL folks are putting out via mock drafts, the word they are hearing from general managers, coaches and scouts is that Hurst might be too much of a risk in the first round, period. So, maybe the Raiders can trade into the tail end of the first round and get Hurst there for much cheaper.

I’d like to see the Raiders trade back to 14 or 15 gain an extra second round pick and draft Hurst there and use the two second round picks they’d have and pick up MLB Malik Jefferson and CB Mike Hughes provided (of course) that they are still available. Or the best two players available at those two positions.

This draft is deep in CB and line backers, but not so deep for DT’s that can rush the QB

Hurst could last until early second round. However, I’d give it a 20% chance he lasts until Raiders pick in second round.

    He’s too good
