One of the fun things about the NFL draft is watching tape of a prospect, reading about a player, hearing about a player’s skillset and exploits, then envisioning that player in the uniform of the team you root for. Or, in the case of RaidersSnakePit.com, the team you cover on a daily basis. By now,

Would love to see Nelson on the board at 10 – don’t think we would take more than a few seconds to make the pick!
Gruden could then plug Nelson in at LG, move KO out to LT and either shift Penn across to the right or bring in David Sharp at RT.
That would be a really nasty O line!!
Trouble is, I just don’t see Nelson dropping this far so expect to see us going defense if we stay at 10.

    Go Raiders

I think th article implies if Drafted, Nelson should be tried out at Right Tackle.

Penn is the Veteran you want on the blindside until he gets beat by his successor.

LT Penn, LG KO, C Hudson, RG Jackson, RT

RT Nelson to round out the Line.

Best Value Player at 10. If he can be A Hall.of Fame player at RT, LT or Guard

Corner Back Fritzpatrick Ward or trade back.

Trade back land a RT. Hope Raiders can land M. Hurst if he falls alongside Arden Key if he falls

We will likely face a problem many teams would want, having our pick of several good/great players in this draft.

Minkah is my favorite, but I would not freak out at us picking Nelson. He is an awesome player.

You have to consider there is the possibility of having Chubb and R. Smith also available. This is especially true if teams keep trading up to get a QB.

An impact immediate starter is what we should get with our first pick.

If Nelson is the pick, then it has to be all defense the rest of the draft
