It is draft week and I’ve been studying it in terms of the Oakland Raiders for more than three months. I feel I have a handle on it. So, I wanted to list the players I would take in order. The order consists of players who could realistically be there. Here we go: MInkah Fitzpatrick:

I agree with the first 3 scenarios.. Fitz, Roquan, then trade offers. However Id take Edmunds over Vita Vea and Ward. I know he lacks instincts and can choose poor angles. But he is only 19, and has so much upside because hes so amazingly gifted that its too hard to pass him up. He can be thought better angles and how to better diagnose plays.

I can see the appeal of Edmunds. Wild that he is just 19.

Smith, fitz, Vea, tradeback and get Payne, Ward.
Think Edmunds is to young, wont be the leader we need.

It’s Fitz, Smith or Landry for me I know some people are going to question Landry at 10 but I think people are sleeping on this kid he’s a really good pass rusher and no one in this class can bend the edge like he can. In a trade back I would probably take James, McGlinchey, Alexander or Evans

Sign Bowman….They need a leader on the field and in the locker room….Then draft Ward…Wiith the new addtions and the return of Conley and Obi M…they would have a much improved secondary to compete in the pass happy NFL..

Running back, defensive line and linebacker inthe next 3 rounds…

I really like Quentin Nelson. Yes I know it won’t make sense to a lot of people because the Raiders have so many needs. But I put a premium on the offensive line. 1) It takes so long to develop a good O-line. 2) With a great O-line even a mediocre back gets that extra couple yards – you keep the ball and keep moving. What do you think Lynch will do with a great O-line? 3) with a great O-line Carr gets a little more time to throw. 4) Last but not least we need to protect our $125 Million Dollar Man.

I hope they trade up and grab Smith. If he is as good as people are projecting why not give up a pick or two later in the draft to get someone who could be the general of our defense for 5 plus years.

I think the McGlinchey talk is real. I think O-Tackle and D-Tacle are their biggest needs. Yes, if Fitzpatrick is there it will be hard to pass him up. There’s a decent chance Hurst is available in the 2nd round when Raiders pick, and that kid is a stud. So I actually really like McGlinchey at 10 and hope Hurst is there in the 2nd. They can re-sign Bowman, linebacker isn’t as critical as DT and CB, so there’s a great chance a stud DT and CB will be sting there at 41
