This should have been handled already. The contract done.

But, behind the scenes, who knows what is going on.

One of the issues that comes from holdouts in training camp and preseason, if it gets that far, is the player coming back and getting injured due to not getting all the work in both camp and preseason. Not working with the new S&C coaches can be very detrimental and risky.

This is one of those deals a fan like me fails to grasp. Both sides HAVE to know what the other side wants after months of talking. So give a little and make it happen. The cap is going up, up, up every year anyway and Mack is a generational player.

Oh, both sides know what the other is thinking in terms of years and dollars. The overriding issue is, Mack and his agent, especially his agent, don’t want to come off as having accepted less than Aaron Donald, when Mack was the higher draft pick. It’s a waiting game.

Silly. One player will be filthy rich and the other will be slightly more filthy rich. Mack should be comparing himself to Von Miller, not Donald. They play different positions.

        Thanks, Steve..

Mack gets what Mack wants, he is the best defensive player we have and a top 5 defensive player in this league. The price tag might be crazy but we CANT lose him, nor do I think we will
