It’s been a little more than four months since Jon Gruden was hired to be the Raiders head coach. In a little less than four months, he will get to see just how good his made-over team is and learn more about whether his rebuild is going to need more than one offseason. For now,
A ton of questions.
Many of them with multiple answers possibly.
I am very much looking forward to camp, preseason and all the insights and thoughts you and Bill will be giving us during that time.
This team must come together quickly if our Raiders are to do much “damage”.
The team, at least on paper, had improved since last year
Raiders have question marks. What team doesn’t?
The key is Carr. Is he rebounds, so does entire team
It all comes down to injuries. That’s why it’s so important to have a deep bench. I’m incredibly impressed so far with the new roster. DT is the key on D. It all comes together if the inside plays at a high level, unlike the previous tortuous years. Offensively the team looks like a juggernaut. I think Bryant is the key acquisition of them all. He’s a freak of nature and a downwright nasty dude to cover. I can’t wait to watch this team get on the field and play some real games.
Listening to the video of the exchange between Gruden and players, the “yeah” wasn’t an enthusiastic one (to my ears). It’s all well and good right now, but there are a bunch of “ifs” on this team that could make or break this season. I am hoping that the coaching will net us a couple more games. I thought it lost the team games last year.

No mention of the special teams? It’s the squad that has had the most turnover; new punter, long snapper, most likely kicker, new cover guys, new return guys, new coach, etc.
The special teams deserves a detailed report of their own (please and thank you).
