Jon Gruden is not the only Oakland Raiders’ coach starting a second life with the franchise. Gruden’s top offensive lieutenant — offensive coordinator Greg Olson – is also returning to Oakland. Gruden tabbed Olson as his coordinator shortly after being hired in Oakland in January. Olson was the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay under Gruden
At least this time around he has a HC who, likely, will not get fired after a year or two.
I hope the coach turnover is low for the next several years at a minimum. I want to see how good our Raiders can be with players actually playing in the same schemes and under the same coaches for multiple seasons.
I am excited for Carr too. I hope having Olsen back makes it easier for him to learn the playbook. Hopefully that also allows him to read and react even faster on the field.
