Right tackle is one of the few positions on offense where there is some real question when it comes to starting gigs. The Raiders have been active already in the first week of training camp. They have already worked Ian Silberman and David Sharpe with the first team some as they try to find the

The way it looks so far Miller may in fact earn that LT spot.

I know there will be some struggles, especially with two rookie OTs, but I hope Parker earns the RT spot too.

Sharpe would be my under the radar pick.

Silberman I think will get a lot of work at the three inside spots, much like with the last staff, challenging Feliciano for that roster spot.

Giacomini, as others have said, we could be in trouble if he is our RT.

Penn has to get healthy, then we can talk about him.

The thought of Giacomini at RT, waving through the top tier pass rushers in the AFC West to repeatedly hammer DC, has me in a cold sweat. This guy should not even be in the conversation as a starter – get Sharpe & Parker ready to play on the Right side and let Miller go full throttle on the left in competition with Penn.
Penn has been a great player on the left since Reggie signed him up but since late in the 2016 season, age and time served in the trenches seem to have caught up with him. If Miller is as good as the coaches claim, he should be the new starter over an ageing veteran – we passed on a hell of a lot of high calibre defensive players for him when we traded down in the draft!
Time to bring on the new guys….
