The Raiders reportedly want veteran left offensive tackle Donald Penn to take a pay cut this season. On the surface, that’s not much of a surprise. In fact, the Raiders wouldn’t mind cutting Penn altogether and saving $5.3 million. However, there’s a far-reaching ramification of asking a player of Penn’s stature to give back money.
