Your Oakland Raiders are headed down to their old stomping grounds, playing at the L.A. Coliseum for the first time since 1994, Saturday in a preseason game against the Rams. Oakland coach Jon Gruden is not thrilled about playing he Rams in the preseason, just 23 days before hosting them in the regular-season opener. He
Wow. The LA Coliseum. LOTS of Raider memories in that relic.
Another key factor is not to show too much to the Rams. I’m fine with generic football and running the base defense (no complex blitzes). Keep it simple on offense as well.
Looking forward to seeing the new O line formation too – even if they don’t play more than a couple of series, should be interesting with Penn switching sides so late in his career….
I doubt Penn plays in this game
Conley needs work. Its not like his risk of injury is any higher here than it is in practice so far.
I want to see how Warren does. High hopes for him after last week.
Key is another player I am looking forward to seeing.
Can the LBs do a better job of tackling?
I don’t see Griff making this roster. Much like the Deandre/Jalen dilemma, they’re essentially the same type of player. From what I’ve read Switzer is the clear favorite over Whalen. But it’s nice to see our Raiders having the luxury of cutting good players that will make another team! Excited to see those rookie D Linemen and Conley no doubt!! Good read Bill, as always.
