Jon Gruden trading Ryan Switzer a perplexing move

Of all the offseason moves made by Jon Gruden, the trade for wide receiver Ryan Switzer counted as the one that seemed like a brilliant stroke of genius. Less than four months later, Switzer is gone without having played a down for the Raiders. What does it all mean? On the surface, it means that

    I think harris outplayed him on special teams and Whalen was at least as good in the slot. Having said that, I had high hopes for him and it is a little strange..

    I think Richard may get some time in the slot along with being a match up nightmare out of the backfield.
