P.J. Hall was in kind of a weird spot after being drafted by the Oakland Raiders. The defensive tackle was a reach, taken in the second round. Hall said” I didn’t think I’d be taken in the fifth round.” After all, he went to Sam Houston State a school not known for producing NFL players.
The success, thus far, of the draft picks like PJ Hall might be indicative of the impact of the new coaching staff on Reggie.
Guenther’s statements are enlightening, in which he said “I tell the coaches when you are doing evaluations of college players..” Guenther tells the coaches about evaluating talent. He did not mean the scouting department. This shows the coaching staff is deeply involved in scouting and evaluating talent. Interesting.
Ghost, I believe you are onto something there.
Hall and Hurst will get plenty of playing time as rookies.
As long as they stay healthy and produce, expect them to play a lot.
The D seems to be getting better.
