The sham that is the NFL’s exhibition season mercifully came to an end Thursday night, with the Raiders and Seattle Seahawks throwing their backups and roster long-shots on the field from the outset because, well, there aren’t any financial ramifications to screwing fans out of seeing the players they came to see. In other news,
Thanks for staying up late, Cork. Looks like a few bubble guys read your hit list and kicked it up a gear.
Nice game review!
Thanks, Cork!! I am really liking the way this defense seems to be playing. Looks to me like they are playing faster (something JDR and KNJ repeated often). Communication looks better. Fadol Brown and Tank Carradine should be on a squad, I think.
In the final game of the preseason with few to no starters playing, even our backup D should have been able to get off the field better on 3rd downs. There is an issue there. You cant do that in the regular season.
Missing Mack will not help.
We need a consistent backup QB.
TE Brown is a penalty waiting to happen.
I really don’t want to be forced to count on Nugent in the kicking game.
Glad to see Parker getting plenty of reps last night.
