Defensive end Khalil Mack wasn’t the only player sent packing by Raider head coach Jon Gruden on Saturday, simply the most recognizable name. That doesn’t mean that there weren’t some other names that came as a bit of a surprise. Among them, Gruden waived defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr., wide receivers Martavis Bryant and Marcell

Brutal day to be a Raider fan. Gruden really did take the shine off what was supposed to be a special night next Monday. If you’d told fans, me included, that getting Gruden back meant trading Mack, making bonehead trades for Bryant and drafting Kolton Miller I think most of us would have signed up for another go round of JDR and Downing. Being born and raised in NJ, I wish I could go back and tell my 7yo self in 1982 to be a Giants fan. Now, I’ll just keep rooting for the laughingstock of the NFL west of Cleveland—though they’ve had a pretty good offseason.

Placing Warren on IR means he can’t practice for the rest of the season, right (unless they activate him off of IR after 6 weeks)? Seems like a pretty shitty thing to do for the player, making him sit out an entire season without being able to practice with the team. If he’s good enough that you’re scared another team will sign him off your Practice Squad then make the tough call, give him a spot on your team and let him work. Otherwise give him a chance to work with another team.

I agree. What a dick bag move by the team. Basically put Warren’s career on hold for no reason. If I was Warren I would tell Gruden to shove it because he could make a lot of teams in the NFL and actually get into games. Just another disappointment from Gruden. Clueless

    Teams stash players.

I wanted Warren kept too. He could be a good/great back for us next season.

I saw he was getting knee surgery?

I do believe that Lynch, Richard and Martin are all FAs after this season. Please correct me if I have that wrong.

I would sign Bailey after being cut from the Cowboys. Cant count on Nugent.

I agree that we should sign Young Danny Bailey. We should be awash with cash now, right? No Mack, two QBs cleared, no pesky 2nd round salaries (Carr being on his second contract), no Bryant. Maybe it will help makeup giving away a HOFer.
