There is no denying that Jon Gruden has relied on his assistant coaches as he has reconstructed the Oakland Raiders’ roster in his return to the NFL after a 10-year absence from the sideline. Gruden has brought 29 new players to Oakland this season, which is a huge number. Many of those players have connections
Too much of Gruden’s success seems to be riding on the health of Carr which has been an issue the last two seasons. Rookie Left Tackle and a Right Tackle who was a career Left Tackle do not bode well for the health of Carr. Hopefully, it works out.
AJ McCarron might be an upgrade over Manuel. But I don’t want see him play.
Carr has to stay healthy or season will implode
McCarron is better than either Cook or Manuel.
He needs to learn the playbook.
I agree, I hope he does not need to play at any point this season.
But I feel a lot better with him as the backup compared to Cook or Manuel.
