Bill Williamson has been a professional sports journalist for 28 years. He has covered the NFL for 22 straight years. He has been covering the Oakland Raiders for the past nine years, including seven at ESPN.com.
I don’t care about mayfield, hue or the browns in general.
Its time for our Raiders to show up for 60 minutes and win a game.
Blame whoever you want for the Cooper Carr int. At this point it matters not whos fault it was.
It matters that the O needs to have a complete game with all our weapons involved.
If we are in goal to go, give the ball to that dude with Lynch on the back of his jersey. Not sure he would have made it in either, with all the push the dolphins got, but if you are giving the ball so someone on the goal line why would it not be him? Trickeration my ars.
You want to try and get the ball in the hands of your best players with the game on the line. When running the ball, that is not our FB Smith. Zach Crockett he aint
Keys to Browns game:
-Raiders need to establish running game
-Carr needs better decisions and spread ball around (as you explained Bill)
– Raiders need TDs in red zone
-Pass rush is needed
-Raiders need some takeaways
FINISH, FINISH, FINISH (AND WHEN YOU THINK YOU FINISHED, FINISH AGAIN)
Mine is coming Saturday and you will see some common themes.
The biggest key for me this Sunday will be the offense needs to control the game and score points. The more the defense is NOT on the field in the first half, the better they will be in the second half. The offense also needs to be better at making adjustments at halftime–Hue will do so. Special teams will also need to step up, punts need to change field position in the Raiders favor (not the opponents) and the cover team needs to do better limiting returns. Of course, I agree with Ghost and Vet, too!
