Remember way back in early the portion of the off season when Jon Gruden was getting rid of players from Jack Del Rio’s roster like he was tossing out pairs of mismatched socks? Well, there was plenty of speculation that tight end Jared Cook could be one of those discarded pieces. The word was Cook
Come on, Bill.
“Instead, it was young Clive Walford, who was supposed to the next Oakland tight end, he was the jettisoned.”
I like the insight on this site, but writing like this is driving me crazy. I won’t be a repeat subscriber.
I understand. We churn a lot of copy. Mistakes happen. If you like the content, we’d urge you to stay.
Somehow Cork manages to present material using complete sentences. I don’t think “churning a lot of copy” is a valid excuse. This quality issue can be fixed if it’s important to you….and I’d say necessary for the long term success of what you’re trying to build here.
Thank you, Matt.
Were you intentionally trying to make fun of a subscriber’s last name (Churn) when presented with a valid critique? I think we can all do better.
Gruden knows how to get production from vets. Anyone remember Tim Brown and Jerry Rice?
It will not shock me to see Gruden bringing him back after the season also.
If he continues on this pace, why not?
As for the grammar, I don’t see the huge issue as some others do. Writers are like us. They can screw up too. Not like its a legal document or contractual obligation. Pobody’s nerfect. But I understand you are paying for the content and expect certain professionalism. To me its like automobiles with lane keeping and automatic stopping, the more you get used to it, the more you rely upon it. People think its ok to take their eyes off the road or text while driving. Even worse drinking and driving becomes ok to some.
Damn auto correct, many of us turn it off on our phones so we can purposefully write wrong.
I thought that the staff last year did not utilize Cook enough. It is nice to see that he is part of the offense more this year (thus far).
