For a while, it appeared as if the Raiders had played their final game in Oakland. Then came the mutual desire for owner Mark Davis and the city of Oakland to put aside their differences and hammer out a deal that gives the Raiders one more season at the Coliseum. Sure, that’s a boon for

It really is a shame for the home fans who have supported this team through thick and thin. To have games taken away from them is sickening.

The fans are not the ones deciding the schedule. They are damn sure not the ones negotiating with the city. Of course the expectation, by MD and the nfl, is that those loyal fans will turn out no matter what.

Those who have given so much to our Raiders are pushed aside like they do not matter. It seems the only concern is for that almighty dollar.

The most disappointing aspect of the schedule, along with the London game, is the last game at the Coliseum vs. the Jaguars. The Jaguars? Why not schedule an AFC West rival, like last year, in which the last game was vs the Broncos.

Yeah, how anticlimactic, eh? The schedule-makers knew the Raiders were going to be at the Coliseum when they made the schedule, but they don’t take into account the emotion or fans. That’s a gross oversight. The league should have made sure that the final game was against the Chiefs or Broncos, for sure.

Mark Davis seems ambivalent to the fans. I thought he had to give games up to get the approval to move to Vegas?

He does have to give up one game, but not the cherry-on-top game from his home schedule. He also didn’t have to give up an exhibition game. He’s not ambivalent, he’s non-caring anymore. He’s checked out and is all-Vegas, all the time now. Sad.

Hey cork do you have anything on the rumors about hard knocks on hbo for the raiders?

Yeah, that the league would prefer the Raiders be the team, but a few other teams remain under consideration. The league likes it when the team signs off on being the one picked. The Raiders have not signed off on being the team and are making it known.

Wouldn’t it be more interesting to see them their first year in Vegas? BTW, didn’t we agree to a training camp deal somewhere in NV, I’m thinking Tahoe?

This schedule is the exact reason I gave up my season tickets this year.
Not only are the out of division games at home against sucky( as Derek would say) teams, but the game against the Bears and Khalil is in London and the third preseason game (which is traditionally the game the starters play extensively) will be in Canada.
Then you take insurance into account that we have two home games back to back in September and three games in a row at home in November and that’s basically the home games schedule.
    Seriously NFL??
You can’t space the home games out?
I already bought tickets for the Thursday night game against the Chargers close to my old section (125) for just 20 bucks more than my season tickets were. And I’m not stuck paying for all the other games.
