In a move that had been expected, the Raiders waived defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes after having reached an injury settlement. That reduces the number of players drafted by former general manager Reggie McKenzie still on the roster to eight. McKenzie presided over the Raiders draft from 2012-17. He still was the general manager last season,
I think Gruden wanted to get a long look at Vanderdoes last year. But he got hurt, again.
The one thing I remember is V saying he would be the best DT in the draft, just after being picked by our Raiders.
I don’t see Sharpe staying on past this year. I was surprised he made the team this year.
Joseph is likely gone.
Washington is a solid maybe.
We all know about Carr, as stated in the story.
Lee will likely have to prove himself in next years camp and preseason if he can get healthy.
Conley seems to have the talent, the staff wants to see him shut down more top WRs. 5th year option might be key on his development.
Gruden has a ton of “his guys” now and the W’s need to start coming.
At least McKenzie went on to help the Dolphins make a big splash this year, right?
Hard not to argue the team is significantly improved under Gruden/Mayock one year and four games into the new regime.
