Raiders head coach Jon Gruden had every right to be seeing red after his offense squandered three scoring opportunities inside the Green Bay Packers 5-yard line Sunday. But, this game was always going to be about his team’s defense. To that end, Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther was no match for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers,

Scheme may have something to do with it but the actual problem is a lack of talent on defence. There isn’t one guy on that defence who brings it every week. No impact players at all in my opinion. Crosby snd Abram may be good in due time. But the rest of that sorry lineup is embarrassing. Our invisible first round pick with another crap outing with absolutely zero impact.

Really good call on Ferrell, Nevin. He has been a huge disappointment so far….have to check the tape to see if he is actually in the game as his name is never called.
Maybe it was just a false dawn against the Bears…this was a real NFL quarter back and boy did he look like it all game long. Next up, DeShaun Watson….. hmm….

I didn’t like the pick at all and Ferrell has done nothing to warrant me eating crow on that. I would have been ok with drafting him later in the first round though. To me, that would be a worthy risk and a reasonable place to take him. But to take this guy at #4 was patently ridiculous and foolish. I have already seen enough to see he will never be a true impact player on the defence. He may turn into a decent player one day…maybe…but he will never earn that #4 overall draft slot in my opinion. Crosby is already better than him.

Raiders need a serious talent infusion on defence. I don’t see many building blocks there.

I can’t believe how promising Conley once looked compared to what I saw yesterday. Is he hurt? This was not a case of Rodgers throwing guys open either, he was getting beat badly from the get go, by backups.

I’ve been operating on the premise that Conley is one of our defensive building blocks, at the very least a solid starter if not Pro Bowl caliber. If he’s the guy I saw yesterday our defense has even more holes than I thought.

Much like when I watched Cooper play for his final games, to me it appeared that Conley quit. He stopped covering and tackling. He seemed to have appetite for either yesterday in the second half.

Maybe that is just me being way to critical. But again, I saw that in Cooper too before the trade. His production after the trade told me all I needed to know about him.

Anyone think two firsts and Conley would have been acceptable for Ramsey? I know its not like we are one CB away, but…….

Can’t win when the refs are giving every call to Rodgers.

That is what I saw the officials are on Green bays side same as the last week vs Lions. When Mr Rodgers can get sacked in the endzone throw the ball to no one and get away with it that is sad. Both announcers call bs on 5 calls kind of makes it hard to win.. Bad officials make bad calls on both sides GB had a guy ruled for a td when his hole foot was on the out of bounds line. Raiders played hard and 3-3 is better than most people had the Raiders at this point in the season.

This game epitomizes the season for me. The offense has to be “on point” and mistake free. Carr cannot fumble that ball and then throw that INT in the red zone. Gotta know the situation and be smart. That’s how this team is going to be competitive. Also, if the offense scores before the end of the half, maybe that boosts the defense to play with a bit more pep in their step? Conley has never been a good tackler, but dang he needs to be more consistent. Looked to me like the defense had some miscommunications, missing Burfict maybe? Mayock and Gruden better go get some stud LBs and DEs. The defense needs more talent–see what GB did by bolstering their defense.
