For as well as Jon Gruden’s offense has played this season, the Raiders haven’t been able to score more than 24 points in any of their seven games. The Detroit Lions defense is the perfect elixir sure to change things. Five times this season, the Raiders offense scored 24 points — safety Erik Harris returned

I hate the phrase, but on paper it looks good for the O.

You have to think the O would be more effective with Hudson out there but the young guy James did a damn good job last week.

It would really help for the D to get a stop or two, though several stops would be better obviously.

As many of us have stated, Joyner is the huge bust from this offseason FA signings. Maybe it is time for him to play just FS. He just is not a slot guy, no matter what Gruden says.

I do expect Ferrell to start getting to the QB. This is his 8th game and its time. Gruden defended him recently saying he has played a lot inside and that does not go on the stat sheet. Well, what about Hall and Hurst? Is McClain really going to have a huge impact? Doubtful.

Then there are the LBs. You have to wonder how much Marshall and Compton will play if active.

Its not likely to be an easy Sunday for our Raiders. But the win is there for the taking.

Isn’t the converse true? Lions offense salivating on going against Raiders hapless defense?

This game will be a shoot out and team that wins will have to score at least 30 points

My guess is that there will be at least changes to the D coaching staff again this offseason, DBs and D line most likely.

Makes little difference how questionable the players are at this point.

I don’t know what else to say, the D is terrible.

Though Worley just got an INT.

Gruden needs to get Waller even more involved too.

But the D came through. It should never have been that close, but the D made a stand on 4th and goal, great play by Joseph!

But they did change DB and D-line coaches this past off-season.

Yep, and those changes were after one season also.
