The almost complete meltdown of the Raiders offensive line last season played a pivotal role in the team winning only four games. In turn, a revamped offensive line has fueled the team’s resurgence this season. Oakland’s offensive line passed a huge test earlier this season when it prevented Chicago Bears defensive end Khalil Mack and

Running game has to get going to neutralize the pass rush and avoid 3rd and long situations. Hope Trent Brown can play.

Winning teams lean on their best players in the biggest games. This is a huge game make no mistake.

Its most likely that Carr and the O will need to score 24+ points. Our O line plays a big part in that.

But the rest of the O must do their part too. Moreau, Ingold, Renfrow and the rest must all play a great game too. If the chargers intend on taking one player out of the game, the others must make up for that shortfall.

I have to think that limiting Waller and or Jacobs will be high priority for the chargers D.

Great article Cork I think the Raiders need to keep penalties down and play man to man and blitz but I always like man to man over zone.

This is going to be a tough game. Rivers always seems to chop up our defense!! I remember two years ago on the season finale in San Diego the Center’s mic picked up Rivers mocking the defensive alignment pre-snap. If memory serves, that play resulted in a big gain for the Chargers. Once again, the offense is going to have to be near perfect and the defense is going to have to make a couple of plays for the Raiders to get the W.

I do know this, the Coliseum is going to be lit!! The players, even those new to Raider Nation, certainly seem to feed off of the fans’ energy.

I don’t want to hear anymore of this BS about us having a true #1 WR. We don’t have one of those. Another thing Gruden and Mayock will need to fix in the draft most likely. We don’t have a top WR who can beat the opposing CB consistently or WR who can change the game by dominating.

Is it just me or does Carr looked spooked again after getting sacked a few times again in this game? But he got it done again on the big drive at the end of the game.

Carr had a wide open left side of the field that he could have run in a TD earlier in the game. You cant tell me he did not see that because that is exactly where he threw the incompletion.

The penalties are just killing us. Some of them were very iffy to me, but non the less, if it continues its very unlikely our Raiders will go deep into the playoffs if we get there.

And no matter how well he may have played so far, we need a kicker now too. You cannot miss extra points in the nfl. Its really that simple. At a minimum he will have competition next camp and preseason.

Great work by the Harris and Joseph are the hero’s of the night. The O left the D out there for a lot of minutes, especially early and it was not pretty again, but a great W! Ferrell finally showed up. Mayowa might be the most underrated signing on D. Maxx got in there too. Again, to many penalties.

    Just Win Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every win is just gravy in year two of a rebuild. Playoffs if they happen are just wetting the appetite of a bunch of young players with no experience on a team not expected to get there. Enjoy the ride up.

Great win by the raiders tonight, the missed xp had me worried but the d stepped up tonight. Need to cut back on the penalties, they almost cost us the game. I know a lot of people aren’t high on dc4, but I think he is one of the better qb’s in the league and we’re in good shape with him. Just win baby!!!!

For many, they just don’t trust Carr to be consistent all the time imo.

Even in this game, without Harris’s pic 6, the O comes up short and we don’t win that game.

Three and outs on O do not help either.

All that said, it is a team game and you win and lose together as a team!

I think Carr is playing just fine. Look what the Charger D did to Aaron Rodgers and the Packer O line last week. They looked pathetic. Compare that to what Carr and our O line achieved…and with a substandard receiver corp no less. All this nonsense about “happy feet”, inconsistency, etc. is just that…nonsense. A perfect game is rare and not the expectation. An overthrown ball once in awhile is not a signal to go draft a rookie QB and start over at this stage. That would set us back three years easy. I’m just tired of all the Carr noise and complaints…he’s the least of the team’s problems.

Well, its hard to argue when you watch him starting to get “happy feet” especially when Lincoln Kennedy says the same thing on air.

He got the job done last night on his final drive. But make no mistake, it would have been much tougher to win that game without the pick 6 Harris got.

The D was on the field way to long, part of that was the chargers O and part of it was Carr and our O not getting sustained drives themselves.

Carr had his ups and downs last night, just like most other QBs on any given Sunday.

Carr is moving in the pocket keeping his head down field and throwing long passes. He is getting the team in the right play almost always. He is the most acute QB playing at this point of the season. All this with out a #1 receiver and a #2 that has been out and hurt. He will get better as the new receivers learn how to work with him.
