It’s no secret the Las Vegas Raiders desperately need an infusion of talent on defense. General manager Mike Mayock provided a blunt assessment at the podium in Indianapolis during the scouting combine last week. “We weren’t good at linebacker, and I made some mistakes there,” Mayock said. “Defensively, we’re not very good at all. We have to address depth at LB too.

LSU I/M Jacob Phillips (4.66), Wyo M Logan Wilson (4.63), Char O/E Alex Highsmith (4.70), OH ST O/M Malik Harrison (4.66) should all get looks too.

Getting Harrison and Phillips both would help the quality depth issue right away. Harrison has the look of a possible day one starter.

Not a big fan. Maybe as an UDFA.

Love the production but I question his coverage which is very important especially in our division against top TEs.

I agree, ThankAVet, Weaver has limitations (even though I am a huge Cal fan and alum). He would be good for ST, but only as you say a UDFA.

Murray is also considered a leader. His Dad is a pastor. His family adopted three kids that were developmentally challenged when Murray was 10. Murray shouldered responsibility as an older brother to them. Murray is also a gym rat and studies film.

If Murray is available at 19, my prediction is he’ll be a Raider.
