These are strange times, in the Raider Nation and across the globe, as we grapple with the coronavirus, which has shut down professional sports — including spring football — and many other aspects of “normal” life. So, even as we await a scaled-down 2020 NFL Draft in the Raiders’ new home of Las Vegas, it
Pryor had some significant contributions, even starting for a while as Raiders QB. The last of Al’s picks and it was symbolic, taking a chance on tremendous talent. Al went down swinging.
Editors : you should write an article on the Raiders picking Bo Jackson.
Ghost plus 1
Jacksons trade for Palmer was criminal. Absolutely stupid and a complete waste.
Much like Gruden trading for AB and the piss poor results there.
Pryor is in the record books with that 93 yard run against the steelers too, one yard longer than Bo Jacksons vs cinci.
Sorry about rewriting about the run. I don’t know how but I missed that the first time through reading it.
I actually thought, at the time, that the trade for Palmer was a good idea, TAV. The team was in the hunt for a playoff spot when Jason Campbell got hurt and Kyle Boller just was not able to get it done. Wasn’t that the year that they lost to the Chargers at home in the last game to miss the playoffs? Or, am I getting the years messed up? Anyway, now, with the benefit of hindsight, that trade was a disaster.
I liked Pryor, but not as a QB as much as an athlete. I thought a RB would be a good position for him. He seemed to do okay as a WR.
Of course, I also liked the Jamarcus Russel signing at first, so that shows you what I know!! 😀
