Things looked very promising for the Raiders during the lead-up to the 2019 regular season. The team landed all-world wide receiver Antonio Brown via trade and head coach Jon Gruden designed the entire playbook (allegedly) around throwing the rock to No. 84. Speed. Gruden has said it and we all know that we need more at WR. Ruggs gives us that at WR and as a returner. Versatility, Gruden loves that too.

Underrated prospect is Chase Claypool. Tremendous combine. He didn’t have a good consistent QB throwing to him at Notre Dame.

The conundrum is whether Raiders go WR or CB at pick #12.

Dropoff at CBs after Okudah and Henderson. Dropoff in WRs after the big 3 of Jeudy, Lamb and Ruggs.

My preference is Lamb of the “big three.” I do wonder if the Raiders will shy away from Jeudy because of the way that Amari Cooper did not work out for the team. He seems to be the same player as Cooper, at least to me. Are Jefferson and Claypool projected to go in the first round? Or, are they second rounders?
