With so much on-field, and in-person time being missed this offseason, it would seem that the teams with the most carryover from last season stand to begin the season with a decisive edge. That bodes well for the Raiders. An early projection of what the Raiders 53-man roster might look like shows that head coach
I think thats fairly accurate at this point.
I do think that Wilber could be out and that UDFA Javin White might make the 53. Just a hunch. But it seems like we have one or two making the roster recently. Ingold, James and Nixon last year.
I also think OT Sam Young was brought in to make the team. I have him in place of Devey.
4 Tight Ends? I think they could go with 3. Cut Carrier.
I think that will be an interesting development Ghost.
I too think Carrier would be the one to go.
Ingold can serve as a TE in a pinch. Moreau can do the same at FB.
But I dont see this being an easy decision from Gruden. I think if it were possible, he could keep up to 6 TEs.
If we only keep 5 WRs, I think that is why Cork kept 4 TEs. I can see that.
So, Amukamara isn’t making the team but Lawson & Nixon both will?
Been saying for a while that Carrier will be gone by next season. I thought he would be traded during the draft but Cork has me thinking with just the 5 receivers leaving room to keep an extra TE. Waller could obviously play as a wideout any time…. interesting!
Amukamura was an oversight. Thanks, Andy. I forgot to add him to my updated roster. Sub him in for Nixon.
Apologies, Cork – my comment seems a bit abrupt now I look at it again. Given the time lags in signings, I should have taken account of delays in signings being formalised.
Cheers
Oh, no need to apologize, Andy. I didn’t take it as being abrupt, simply pointing out a potential oversight.
What happened is, I left off Amukamara because the signing wasn’t official and I wanted to go with players under contract, in case another Eli Apple situation came about.
Thanks for the feedback, as always. Love the passion of everyone on this site, as well as their knowledge, respect and keen eyes.
