Kolton Miller is entrenched at left offensive tackle and Trent Brown imposingly anchors the right side. That’s one 6-foot-8 tackle protecting quarterback Derek Carr’s blindside and another towering 6-foot-8 tackle keeping the Raiders signal caller upright. Combined, Miller and Brown offer 687 pounds of Carr insurance on the boundaries of the offensive line.  For the

Brandon Parker is a likely cut. I’ve seen nothing from him to inspire confidence that he can be even adequate.

Injuries are the equalizer in the league. Just hope Miller and Brown can stay healthy. If Carr cannot be protected, offense comes to a screeching halt.

+1 on Parker. He cant be counted on for anything at this point.

I think its possible to see another veteran player brought if one is available after the first cuts of the season.

Lets hope we stay healthy this season and dont need any backups.

As of now, yes. The addition of Sam Young and re-signing of Denzelle Good and Jordan Devey, along with the signing of Eric Kush, work against Parker. Remember, Jon Gruden traded up to get Arden Key and Brandon Parker. That’s what makes the play and lack of development of these two even worse.

Brandon Parker is one of the reasons that it is best if you take the key to the draft away from Gruden. He’s really shown me nothing, not even promise. Not a good sign when you have to hope for health during a grueling season. Injuries always occur, that’s why depth is so important. I’d also like to see more versatility in the backups. Remember when the team had Feliciano who could play all three interior spots?
