Even Joe Bugel, in the midst of the worst season in Al Davis’ long reign, managed to guide the Raiders to a memorable victory. That came against the Super Bowl-bound Denver Broncos. Jon Gruden has yet to lead the Raiders to a signature win since his triumphant return in 2018. The Raiders finished 4-12 under

A statement win or two would absolutely be great but it has to go with stacking wins in games that we should win. It’s no good being 3-13 with two of those wins being against KC and the Saints.
Gruden and his coaches have to get us to a winning season by avoiding losses like we had last year against the Jets, Jags and Broncos. We need to become the team that can depend on winning the games we should. The statement wins can then put us over the top.
Other games we should look to win this year: Broncos, Chargers (2), Carolina, New England, Atlanta, Indy (I don’t buy Rivers at all), Miami, Cleveland and the Jets.
That’s 10, without the bonus of a win over the Chiefs, Saints or Bills. I think the Bucs game is a coin toss against old man Brady.
I’d rather see us with 10 wins against the lesser opposition and a wild card than 1 or 2 big wins and a top 5 pick next year…

I remember that game. No one gave the Raiders a chance to win. Denver had counted the game as a win, even before they started game planning or practicing a single down. Sure, they said, “we can’t take the Raiders game for granted.” But, they did. The win made Al’s day. When they showed the box, if you could read lips, Al was using the F-word quite liberally.

Like Andy said, a winning season and avoiding losses. Let one of those wins be that statement win. Gruden, though, would have to let it loose.

I don’t care about signature wins.

I just want Raiders to win. Period.

Yeah, I agree with Ghost, I just want wins. I don’t want to see the team start out hot, win games no one thinks they will win, and then start losing games they should win. I want our losses to be competitive/close. I want the team to play its best when the competition is hardest and when they play on prime time. I want alot because I’ve suffered years of mediocrity and most recently, a complete rebuild right on the heels of a complete rebuild. My patience is wearing thin . . .

Yeah, it is time for the Raiders to do more than point to building blocks, momentum and positive signs. The fans deserve wins.
