I, too, wondered about the COVID-19 issue when I saw videos of these players in close contact. I would also be shocked if the season starts on time with fans in the stadiums. The season will be starting right about everyone is saying the second wave will take place and we haven’t even gotten the first wave behind us.
I read that the “practices” try to incorporate what the team talks about that morning in its Zoom meetings. Not a bad idea, but I’d still like to see Carr and the WRs practice scramble drills or having pressure on Carr a la what they did with Jeff Garcia in SF a while back.
The players union and the league haven’t agreed regarding on how to proceed. They definitely don’t see eye to eye on the details. And, coming up positive, I don’t see how the season will start on time, or how many games.
On the workouts, I wouldn’t go as far as calling them workouts either. The scramble drills you speak of, I would be reluctant to run them without the training staff around. What they don’t need is for an injury to happen.
