For the sake of player safety, the first eight rows of stadiums across the NFL landscape will be tarped over. Fewer fans near players, means less chance of catching and/or spreading COVID-19 — that’s the notion pushing this motion. And if that wasn’t enough, the tarps would be adorned with advertising. There’s always an opportunity
It’s just not the Raiders being impacted by the tarp issue, it’s the other 31 teams as well.

I’ve never been less enthused about an upcoming NFL season given the pall and uncertainty of the pandemic.
I don’t understand the tarping off of seats near the teams, but not somehow ensuring that the fans are socially distancing. If you are going to let the fans into the stadium, then tarping off the first few rows makes no sense to me. Am I missing something?
