Nick Kwiatkoski, Cory Littleton and …? While lined up plenty in the nickel formation last season, the Las Vegas Raiders base defense is the 4-3. Meaning, the team deploys a trio of linebackers behind four down linemen when in base. It’ll be Kwiatkoski in the middle, Littleton at an outside spot and an intrepid linebacker
Answer to the question is Morrow. Newly signed. Fast. He knows the defense.
The depth at LB really concerns me. If Littleton or Kwiatkoski get injured, big trouble.
I agree on depth, Ghost… but at least we have two starters this year (and that’s two more than last year if you take into account the inability to avoid stupid suspensions like Burfict).
I do think though, that Tanner Muse is going to be a really pleasant surprise, just like Renfrow from Clemson at WR and Moreau at TE a year ago.
Yes he is transitioning from Safety but actually he only went to safety in college to cover for injury, he was meant to play ‘backer. The transition isn’t that big, given that background.
By season end, Muse will be the third starting linebacker and Amik Robertson will be starting in the slot in place of Joyner.
Taking on board that Bryan Edwards will also be starting at WR and Bowden will shine as a swiss army knife contributor all over the field, we will all be in awe of Mayocks mid round drafting – again!
I approve this message!!!!
