“It’s all about that Mamba Mentality.” That’s how Derek Carr finished when referring to wearing an arm sleeve on his left arm this season in honor of the late great Kobe Bryant. “Watched every game he played,” Carr began, “He meant so much to me. When he followed me on Twitter, it was one of
Mamba mentality was about winning. Wasn’t it just last season when he wanted to fight ESPN personalities in an MMA ring because he had some new mentality? I’m long past over this dude. He talks a good game, he loses more than anyone not-his-brother in the history of the NFL through 6yrs, and that’s including a 12 win season. Bye.
Sorry, Carr can say all the right things when things are easy, but when things break down he doesn’t rise to the occasion or lift his team to victory. Kobe didn’t *need* a supporting cast to get wins for his team. A supporting cast made his job easier for sure. When the team needed a play, Kobe made it more often than not, Carr does not more often than not. I’m with 510Cali on this one, I’m over the Carr era, but will root for him to succeed as long as he dons the Silver and Black because I am sick of watching this team lose.
Carr needs to improvise. When things break down, he needs to make something out of nothing.
Carr needs to be able to stand tall and take hits. The word is that you hit Carr, he wilts.
Carr needs to will his team to wins, namely against playoff teams.
