Of all the Raiders players and coaches eager to put the disappointment of last season in their rear-view mirror, veteran wide receiver Tyrell Williams had to be near the top of the list. Williams was thrust into the role of No. 1 receiver at the last minute last season after presumptive lead receiver Antonio Brown

Most unfortunate. The thing I’ve noticed is the number of serious injuries occurring across the NFL. Except for the COVID protocols, you have to wonder what has changed to cause the rash of injuries. If there’s a positive, it has to be Williams is not under the knife.

I was thinking the same thing, and how fortunate the Raiders were to avoid being hit by the rash of injuries. Lo and behold, this news surfaces. Still, not too bad if that’s the only serious injury for the Raiders. We’ll see about Trent Brown and Trayvon Mullen.

I have a labrum issue. Williams will only need surgery if the shoulder is unstable. Most likely, he doesn’t need surgery since he’s been given the go ahead to play. The question is also his pain tolerance by getting hit on that shoulder. Feel bad for him given his foot problems last year.

That is unfortunate for Williams. Gotta feel for the guy to have back to back injuries like that. I understand that Plantar Fasciitis is pretty painful, so maybe he will be able to play through the torn labrum much like he did last year. Too bad, because barring a miracle, it probably means that Williams will be looking for a new team next season.
