Josh Jacobs is the unquestioned bell-cow for the Las Vegas Raiders and his direct backup is none other than Jalen Richard. Despite the plethora of options for RB2, as Steve Corkran outlined in his 53-man roster prediction, Richard is the best option amongst the group of four (Lynn Bowden Jr., Devontae Booker and Theo Riddick).
Fournette signed with Tampa Bay earlier today.
Bowden isn’t ready to be RB2. He needs to learn the blocking assignments. Lots of potential but he’s not there.
Richard has very good hands, along with knowing blocking assignments. However, he’s just not stout running inside, as is Jacobs.
Daniel Carlson’s issue, IMHO, is fundamentals. He seems to miss the same way which is an indication that he is inconsistent with how he strikes the ball. I’m sure the coaches can differentiate between whether his issue is mental or physical, but something certainly goes off track with him.
Raiders were not even mentioned as being interested in Fournette who probably has too much baggage for Mayock’s and Gruden’s liking.
Adrian Peterson !!!
