Last year, 11 of the 12 teams that made the playoffs won their first game.

Raiders need to beat Carolina. Raiders have a tenured coach and stability at QB.

If Raiders don’t win, it’s an inauspicious start to the season. I’ll start looking at draft prospects in preparation for April!

Wow, that’s a great stat, Ghost. I’ve never seen that stat used before. Wonder how often that holds up?

Nice stat but may not be a good indicator. Raiders won their first game last season. We know how the season ended.

We still seem to be rebuilding with all the youth at cb and wr. We should win this one.

The Raiders, if they want to get into the playoff conversation, need to start strong, stay strong, and finish strong. None of this getting fans’ hopes up with a strong beginning to the season only to flounder and fritter away the end of the season. Set the tone game one.
