I am really, really worried about our defense. There was almost no pass rush last week (again) and we never looked like causing any turnovers, which would be such a help to the offense as either points from returns or flipping starting field position.
We cannot go into every game having to outscore every opponent….. you have to be able to stop the opposition, even when they are very strong. Frankly the Panthers are a pretty weak outfit and we struggled to get past them.
I genuinely think our O can compete, especially with a great line and Jacobs as our lead back but they need something from the defensive side of the house.
I hope Paulie G is on a very short leash and Gruden is willing to cut ties early if we don’t see a very quick upturn. Guenther has had plenty of time and has had significantly improved players brought in. It’s time to prove he can scheme to use them…. he has me looking back fondly to the days of Ken Norton right now!!!

Go Raiders, let’s shock all the experts tonight!!

Defense is the teams Achilles heal. If it doesn’t improve, Raiders might be looking at a 1-4 hole going into the break.

Pass rush has to improve and secondary has to get better at at least causing the opposing QB to hesitate or go to the 2nd read.

If defense doesn’t improve, it all falls on the offense which is not sustainable.
