The addition of Maliek Collins and Daniel Ross via free agency was supposed to give the Raiders a linchpin for their line with the former and desirable depth with the latter. Now, it’s a question mark who’s going to man the position in the next game. Collins and fellow starter Johnathan Hankins suffered injuries against

    Marinelli is earning his money.

The DL was underachieving before the injuries. Now, the DL will be worse. Just in time for the Chiefs. Ugh.

I read somewhere that someone on the Raiders tested positive. Maybe that was Hurst? Someone else?

Even without the injuries this defense is maddening. With the injuries more so.

Hurst tested positive for covid. A good chance others will test positive too. It’s a matter of how many and who.

Other than Crosby getting the odd sack, the defensive line is completely invisible. I just can’t fathom why they are so unproductive. I have said from his first season that Ferrell is useless, and clearly the team thinks so as well since his reps on defence were significantly curtailed last game. Now he might get reps at tackle? Great googly moogly that’s gonna be ugly against the Chiefs.

Hurst and Hankins are average at best but hoping to see more from them. I have some faith that Hurst may develop into something but honestly I think both are mediocre right now and not game changers.

Can someone please explain to me why our defensive line and linebacking core is so pathetic every season? Geez Louise.
