Raiders second-year defensive end Clelin Ferrell played 51 snaps against the Kansas City Chiefs. On nine of those plays, he made life difficult for quarterback Patrick Mahomes and, in the process, stoked the flames of belief that he can be an impact player more than on occasion. It was nice to see Ferrell play better against the Chiefs. As has been noted, the defense as a whole played better. Maybe it took four games for the pieces on defense to fit together and “click.” That side of the ball had more changes in personnel than the offense.
Hopefully, this is the start of the new normal rather than a one off against the Chiefs.
Nice game by Ferrell but he has to string these type of performances along. We’ll see.
