According to one metric, the Raiders’ playoff chances went from 67 percent or so to slightly more than 41 percent as a result of their surprising loss to the Atlanta Falcons. In other words, the Raiders are far more likely to miss the playoffs after it once seemed like a foregone conclusion. Yet, they have

I remember last year prior to the Jets game with the Raiders being considered a playoff contender, then the team laid eggs the rest of the schedule even with the playoffs on the line. I fear that this team does not have the “attitude” that will lift them to better play when it still has a chance to make the playoffs. I beg this team to prove me wrong. The Jets are due for a win (hard to go 0-for the season just like it is hard to go 16-0), the Broncos will play the Raiders tough and there still are the Chargers who may have their bad luck turn against the Raiders. After the Atlanta game, this fan is taking none of the remaining games for granted.

Gotta love Cork’s enthusiasm but this team ain’t gonna make the playoffs. Out of the 5 remaining games they will win a maximum of 3. And to be honest they may only win 2. As Michelle stated the team lacks the attitude and is way too soft. Carr is potentially showing signs of slipping into his usual late season performances.

If I was a betting man…and I’m not…I wouldn’t be putting my faith in the Raiders against the Jets either.

Is this a better team than last year? Sure…offensively in particular and on defence the linebacker play seems a bit better with Kwiatkowski and Morrow. Secondary I see a slight improvement. But this is far from a team who is playoff caliber in my opinion.

No faith people, so they put up a clunker that was really bad. Every team this year has put up a clunker besides the steelers who will lose there first playoff game this year. The raiders will make the playoffs this year. That clunker was probably the wake up call they needed. Have a little faith that this year will be different.
