With six teams vying for the three AFC wild-card spots, there’s precious little margin for error the final four games of the season. When two of those six teams play each other, there’s even more at stake. Hence, when the Raiders host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, there’s more than just a win on the
In other news, Worley’s back?
What does the Raiders bringing in Spencer Ware mean?
Did you see Beasly play? What did you think of his snaps?
Any thoughts on Ferrell’s performance?
What should we make of Ruggs’ performance?
Would prefer Worley doesn’t see the field and be strictly a PS/scout player. I suspect he was brought back due to his familiarity with Guenther’s scheme and fill a personnel gap.
Spencer Ware was brought in for tryout when Jacobs was down for the Jets game. With Jacobs possibly returning for the Colts game, I don’t see much coming from the visit.
Ruggs performance, his two mistakes were generally the rookie kind. He more than made up for those with the GW reception. Ruggs’ “invisibility” in the offense is more of a function of Gruden’s game plan. I would cut him slack.
I know I have been very critical of Ferrell so it would be hypocritical for me not to mention that he has really picked up his game lately. Has been very good against run and is starting to get more pressure. Hopefully he continues to advance.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raiders shut down Arnette for the remainder of the season. He has taken a beating all year and has never really been healthy. Those concussions are concerning and I think it’s best to give him rest until next year.
Speaking of injuries, has anyone else noticed in so many games that the Raiders have an injury in the first 3 plays? It’s happened at least 4-5 times this season. And usually said player never returns to the game. So much bad luck.
Anyway, I still think playoffs are an uphill battle but at least they are in the hunt. That in itself is a good thing.
