Two former Oregon quarterbacks dueling it out on Thursday night. That was quite the Duck Hunt, no? Yet, the battle of the U of O signal callers went the Los Angeles Chargers’ way. Where Bolts quarterback Justin Herbert was buoyed by defensive stops in critical moments, Las Vegas Raiders backup QB Marcus Mariota wasn’t.  “It

Ray, you’re very generous – suspect offensive play-calling is NOT A NEW wrinkle. It’s been featured in EVERY game this season:

Raiders had 16 drives stalled within 12 yards of the end-zone over the 14 games played! By far the most in the league.

Raiders are 23rd in red zone efficiency. 49ers, Lions and Jaguars are better than them!

The playcalling in the red zone was atrocious. That’s all on Gruden.

$100 million gets you a charismatic cartoon character…and a career long mediocre coach. His win/loss record proves it. He even drove the Bucs into the ground after winning the SB with the team that Tony Dungy built.

Gruden gets a free pass every year because he is entertaining and the media likes his quotes and facial expressions. And also Mark Davis couldn’t spot incompetence if he tried.

Gruden is a road to nowhere and a waste of $100 million. I hate to say that but he is.

Gruden needs to just coach, not act as the sole owner of power. The personnel decisions by Gruden was the critical problem in Tampa Bay and remain the issue with Gruden. Mayock doesn’t call the shots.

That’s why they both needed each other: Al Davis and Jon Gruden

The problem is that you have $100 million invested in just a coach. And honestly he isn’t that good of a coach. He just isn’t.
