Mark Davis’ confidence in Jon Gruden hasn’t wavered — not one bit. Despite the 8-8 finish after another collapse from a 6-3 start and a wild 2020 that was ravaged by a pandemic, the Las Vegas Raiders owner is steadfast in his backing of his dream coach. “Absolutely,” Davis told the Las Vegas Review-Journal last
I don’t like the COVID excuses. Every team had to deal with the issues with the pandemic.
Davis is right though. Next year they have to make even further progress.
Agree, COVID should not be an excuse. HOWEVER, no other team had to deal with a new city along with the pandemic, but still.
This old fan is tired of this team being bad. I want to see wins, dominance, and for this team to get back to being a team of the decades!
I’m with you Michelle – fed up with excuses. Other teams have dealt with changes and Covid…. KC and Baltimore continue to ball out, Cleveland is in the playoffs, Buffalo has stepped up and the Chargers have leaped forward behind a rookie QB. Even Miami made significant improvement in 2020.
Mark Davis pursued Gruden with such passion he is obviously going to stay with his guy, despite an overall lack of progress on the field.
What will the excuses be next year when the genius is still stuck at .500 or worse? We are nowhere near the Chiefs over a whole season and the Chargers are improving very quickly in our own division – what is our route to the play-offs?
